Dye-Sublimation is a computer printer which employs a printing process that uses heat to transfer dye onto materials such as a plastic, card, paper, or fabric. The sublimation name was first applied because the dye was considered to transition between the solid and gas states without going through a liquid stage. Dye-Sublimation uses a Full Colour (4 Colour Process) print and allows you to print photos onto polyester surfaces.
It involves transferring an image onto a white surface. The special dye-sublimation inks penetrate into the polyester surface. Dye-Sublimation is extremely popular when used on small and large volume runs of stubby holders and specially coated ceramic mugs and large volume runs of clothing and hats.
